- 4 tablespoons of whole milk
- 2 eggs
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cups of queso fresco
- 1 ¼ cups of masarepa or precooked cornmeal
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the masarepa and cheese in a food processor.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
- Place the balls on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Serve warm.
